Food Glorious Food!

Nothing like having not one but TWO absolutely delicious meals on the weekend, and all on one day to boot!

On Saturday as the Missus was having her driving test in Manukau, thought it best to have a drive around there so she was a bit familiar with the roads, surroundings etc. Once that was done, and we were fairly hungry, spotted a bunch of shops and thought we would check it out.

Saw a pub which kinda looked closed from the outside but was definitely open, The Bog. Setting wasn't to bad, though it has a 'nice' mix of pokies and TAB for the avid gambler, not that I am mind.

Service was ok, considering after we were told to grab a seat no one came by to take out order, apart from that no real dramas.

The Missus ordered the Chicken breast with potatoes and I got the Steak with Eggs and Chips. Both were very good, tasty and most definitely FILLING! Oh and seeing as we ordered the garlic bread to come out WITH the mains and it didn't, because we were so hungry and busy devouring our mains we forgot about it until it was time to pay the bill. So with the trusty Entertainment Book voucher in hand, the bill came to a whopping 30 plus bucks. Hehe, definitely a good value price and quality and yes quantity wise.

Overall rating Prev says an 8 outta 10.

Worth going back again even Without the voucher me thinks. May try the Parnell branch next time around.

After this meal, it was off to football for a run around. Let me say at the time running around was the LAST thing on my mind with the super duper filling meal i just ate. But the weather was good and enjoyed it. Even the Missus came along, and helped set up a goal! hehe Watch out Ronaldo!

After that it was time for a rest and THEN on to the next place. Thai House on Ponsonby Road. We had actually been there before, but wanted to go back again.

We got the Crab Meat Fried Rice, Garlic Snapper and Tofu Ginger. Mucho Amore! It was sooo good. Ate until we were stuffed, but man it was a superb meal, and it was sooooo tasty.

It was a little more pricey compared to lunch, but considering we got fish I reckon it was a reasonable price for dinner, just hovering around the 70 buckaroo mark.

Overall Prev says it deserves a minimum of 9/9.5 outta 10 (which is also code for HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! =) )

After that, alot of eating should have resulted in a walk of some sorts, but when poker calls it is quite hard to say no. Was a decent game, had a couple of newer chaps there who made me think twice about certain hands, which is what you should do it poker. Always put the decision back on the other player, that's the beauty of No limit Hold Em. All in all was good fun, even had some Swiss Chocolates there courtesy of the Shaunmeister! =)

Here's to MORE sunny days! It's been long overdue I tell ya!
